Police arrested two security guards after one of them was caught carrying a firearm while inside a videoke bar in Quezon City on Saturday night.
Police identified the security guards as Christopher Loon and Crispin Agum, assigned at an auto dealership shop in the city.
Chief Inspector Romero Panal, commander of the Quezon City Police District's Police Community Precinct 1, said they seized a .38 revolver from the two security guards during an operation at a videoke bar in Barangay Kaingin.
The two security guards claimed that the firearm was a service pistol and registered under their agency, but they could not produce a supporting document.
Panal said that even if the firearm has papers, the two security guards are not allowed to carry firearms outside the establishment where they are assigned.
The security guards are facing charges for violation of illegal possession of firearm.
