An earthquake drill was held at Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City past 10 a.m. Friday.
As part of the drill, workers in the BGC area role-played as wounded victims while medics demonstrated their quick response skills, according to a report on dzBB by Divine Reyes.
The earthquake drill, which was organized to prepare BGC workers and residents for The Big One, is set to end at 12 noon.
Some roads in the business district were closed to make way for the BGC-wide earthquake drill.
The following roads were closed for the activity, according to an advisory from BGC management.
11th Avenue between 32nd Street and 26th Street (landmarks/nearby areas: West Tower at One Serendra to Two Serendra)
5th Avenue between 32nd Street and 26th Street (landmarks/nearby areas: McDonald’s to Net Lima)
2nd Avenue between 32ndStreet and 31st Street
31st Street from 1st Avenue to Rizal Drive
7th Avenue corner Lane T
40th Street corner 9th Avenue
3rd Avenue between 32nd Street and 31st Street
Motorists were advised to expect heavy traffic in the area and to take alternate routes.
