Advocacy group backs federalism

TASK Force Kasanag (TFK), an anti-crime
advocacy group, has expressed support to the campaign of President
Rodrigo Duterte towards federalism which was already acknowledged by the
 Chief Executive.

John Chiong, national commander of TFK, said that on September 26 he
signed an agreement with Save Our Language through Federalism (Solfed)
head Dante Liban in Iloilo City to promote federalism.

Chiong said the agreement signifies its partnership with the Solfed that
had at the same agreement with the Department of Interior and Local
Government.

He added that the TFK is in full support of the proposed federal form of
government, adding that he believes this is the only way to minimize
corruption and to initiate reforms in the government.

Chiong said the role of the TFK is to facilitate the education and
information of the public by disseminating the programs in relation to
federalism.

They already conducted the First Isabela Annual Municipal Convention on
Federalism on September 9 to 11 at the Isabela Socio-Cultural Center in
Negros Occidental.

The convention was attended by about 500 village officials and municipal
 employees.

Chiong said that on October 7, they are scheduled to hold another forum
about federalism in Roxas City, Capiz along with Solfed.
