Samsung
Galaxy Note 8 has achieved the highest camera and video ranking ever in Android smartphones. With this ranking, it stands with Apple iPhone 8 Plus as the highest rated smartphone camera in the world.
DxOMark, a leading source for independent image quality testing, has given a photo score of 100/100 and video score of 84/100 to the Samsung Galaxy Note making it the highest rated smartphone in Android and a close competitor of iPhone 8 Plus with the exact same ratings.
Smartphone cameras over the years have become sharp, quick, and intelligent. These cameras have now become one of the deciding factors for buying a smartphone because people do look at the smartphones as a replacement for point-and-shoot cameras and even DSLRs in extreme cases. In such a situation, the onus is usually on manufacturers to launch smartphones with the best camera and video quality.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has good exposure, vibrant colors, noise reduction but lacks a bit in the autofocus department. The video score is a slightly low but given that the overall rating is the best one at the moment, there wouldn’t be any other choice better than Galaxy Note 8 in the market for good camera and video.
It should be noted that Google Pixel has got a score of 90 and HTC U11 has also got a score of 90 in the same DxOMark tests.
