Senator Antonio Trillanes IV knows President Duterte’s source of information on Trillanes’ offshore bank accounts.
Trillanes, in a privilege speech Tuesday afternoon, said Daniel “Snooky” Cruz sold the information that he (Trillanes) made deposits in various banks abroad, particularly on Alexandra Road, Singapore.
Trillanes said Cruz sold the information for P10 million, of which only P3 million went to him. The rest went to middlemen.
Trillanes said Cruz is a Duterte ally who introduces himself as a “financial forensic expert” based in Makati City and claims to be “well-connected” to the United States Embassy and other US federal agencies.
Trillanes showed pictures from Cruz’ Instagram account, adding that Cruz was close to several officials in the Palace and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Trillanes dismissed the Singapore bank account as “fake,” and added that Cruz attempted to sell the same information to “a member of the Duterte Cabinet”.
The Cabinet member, however, did not buy it. Trillanes said.
De Lima’s bank account, he noted, was at the same bank on the same Singapore branch as the one being hurled at him by President Duterte.
Trillanes said Cruz handed the information to President Duterte last August 31, as manifested, Trillanes said in latter’s social media photo.
